One of those days... of those near perfect days, that is! A little while ago I had the opportunity to take the day off work and get some things done. In the afternoon we decided to visit Hee Haw Farms for their Spring Fling. It was wonderful! We practically had the place to ourselves and had a blast with the animals.

We fed a donkey
And saw the cute little piglets

And rode ponies

And chased chickens

And went down a giant slide

Plus tractor rides, planting sunflowers, and playing in the hay and dirt!

Since it is spring there were baby animals all over the place- piglets, calves, and the cutest little baby goats I have ever seen. They were so small and SO playful. They were jumping and kicking and running all over the place and it cracked me up. I wish I had gotten a picture!

I had no idea the farm could be so much fun! I love the stage Claire is in where she is amazed by the world around her. I can't wait to take her to do more!

I'm a little behind on posts these days, sorry!
Easter was loads of fun for the kiddo. Mom and Dad told the Easter bunny that he didn't really need to stop by until next year, but apparently the grandparents did not make the same request and little Claire was spoiled rotten :)

First up we had an Easter egg hunt on Saturday out in Grantsville at the preschool my mother-in-law owns. Claire got candy, a book, a little dress, some sandals, a DVD, a bucket and shovel, and her very own purse with Chapstick in it. The whole concept of searching for loot was still a little beyond her understanding. She saw a package of Smarties and the whole thing pretty much went out the door after that. It was still a good time though.

Even the adults got to participate in some fun Easter games. Brady and I totally dominated. Just sayin'.

The next day we hung out at my parents house for an elaborate and delicious Easter dinner. The Easter bunny stopped by there for Claire again, this time dropping off a book, a darling dress, and a little snack holder of her very own.

Claire was very curious about how Tallie the dog ate her food:

All in all, it was a lovely weekend.

As you can see, Claire is already making good use out of her new toys:
